  • In 1901, he carried out the first calculations of the country’s available water power and took part in the construction of the hydroelectric power plant on the Đetinja River near Užice (1900), the first power plant in Serbia to use three-phase current based on Tesla’s principles.

  • Subsequently, his studies led to the construction of hydroelectric power plants in Leskovac (Vučje, 1904), Zaječar, Niš, Sokobanja, Veliko Gradište, Ivanjica, and Vlasotince.

  • Through these projects, he became a key figure in the electrification of Serbia and was among the first to consider the construction of a hydroelectric power plant at Đerdap.
