  • The fourth public civic pharmacy in Vršac was opened in 1885, on the day of Saint Stephen, which is likely why it was named “At the Hungarian King Saint Stephen”
  • Its founder and first concessionaire was Sebastian Strahl, and its last owner was Joseph Rasteter, a capable and skilled pharmacist, highly devoted to pharmacy. Within his highly organized pharmacy, he also had a well-equipped laboratory. He managed the pharmacy until the end of World War Two
  • The pharmacy, built in 1885, in the so-called Alt Deutsch (or Old German) style, consists of a central chest with doors and 25 drawers, glass cabinets with semi-circular doors, and a gallery with a clock. The total length of the cabinets is 15 meters, with a total of 388 drawers.
  • By a decree in 1946, the furniture and equipment of the pharmacy were handed over to the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade, where they remain to this day
