- Radislav Raša Trkulja was born on April 8, 1938, in Banatsko Novo Selo in Vojvodina region
- He spent his childhood in Kladovo and his high school years in Negotin. In 1963, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade under the mentorship of Professor Đorđe Andrejević-Kun
- He completed his postgraduate studies in 1965 at the Master Workshop of Krsto Hegedušić in Zagreb – Croatia
- His first solo exhibition was in 1957 in Negotin. In 2005, he founded the Radislav Trkulja Legacy within the Mokranjac Birthplace Complex in Negotin. Over his career, he held more than 60 solo exhibitions and participated in around 500 group exhibitions in Serbia and abroad
- He passed away on November 24, 2016, in Ilandža (Vojvodina)
