  • It was officially unveiled in 1928 to mark the 10-year anniversary of the breach of the Macedonian Front. This was a key battle that took place just before the end of World War One. In the battle, Serbia defeated the central forces of Germany and Austria with the help of its allies.
  • The monument is 14 m tall.
  • Its base is made of stone, while the sculpture of the male figure is cast in bronze.
