- Tower 9, better known as the Cannon Tower, was subsequently added to the lower part of the Outer Fort as part of the coastal belt of the Fortress
- It was built at the time of intensive use of firearms during the Ottoman rule over the Fortress
- Distinguished by cannon openings on two floors, it was mainly used to protect the pier
