  • The collection of prehistoric artefacts includes material remains from the period of the Neolithic, Bronze Age, and Iron Age. This covers an extensive period between the end of the seventh millennium BC and the Roman conquest of this area.
  • The antique archaeological collection focuses in particular on the region’s history during the Roman epoch.
  • The medieval archaeological collection was founded thanks to the first systematic archaeological excavations of medieval Kruševac, which were conducted in 1961 by the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments and the Institute of Archaeology from Belgrade. The collection has been complemented over time with objects collected through terrain reconnaissance and numerous archaeological excavations, as well as through donations and purchases. It consists of three units defined by the significant centres of Moravian Serbia: Kruševac, Stalać, and Koznik.
  • Special consideration is given to the artefacts found at two archaeological sites: Konopljara near Čitluk and Bedem near the village of Maskare.
