  • This memorial complex is dedicated to the epoch of the Battle of Batin from the 2nd World War, which was jointly fought by units of the Soviet Red Army, led by Marshal Tolbuhin and the Yougoslav partisans of the 51st Battalion, under the command of Colonel Sreta Savic- Kolja
  • It was one of the biggest frontal battles of World War II, fought on the territory of Yugoslavia
  • The memorial museum was built and was inaugurated on Nov 14th in 1981. As part of the memorial complex, which included the Bridge of the 51th divisions across the Danube as well as the monument, Victory on the Batin side
  • The sculptur was created by Antun Augustincic in 1947
