  • The Museum of Applied Art was founded in 1950. It is located in the very center of Belgrade, in Topličin venac, 18 Vuka Karadžića Street.
  • It belongs to the category of specialized art museums. The Museum systematically collects, preserves, studies, exhibits and publishes works of applied art from the country and abroad.
  • The Museum building was erected in the period from 1927 to 1929. It was constructed as a two-floor palace in the academic style, and designed by renowned architects Stevan Belić (design), Nikola Krasnov (facade) and Neregar (interior decoration).
  • Museum collections follow the development of applied art over a period of 2400 years. The Museum disposes around 37,000 objects of applied art. The oldest artifacts date back to the 4th century BC, and belong to the coin collection (coins from ancient Greece).
