  • The Church of St. Mark at Tašmajdan was built from 1931 to 1940, based on the design of architects Petar and Branko Krstić. It was built in the Serbo-Byzantine style.
  • The present Church was built in the immediate vicinity of the Russian Church of the Holy Trinity from 1924, but also the original, wooden Church of St. Mark from 1835, which destroyed during the wars.
  • The Gračanica Monastery was used as a model for the new church.
  • The Church of St. Mark has a very rich treasury of icons and religious writings.
  • The relics of Emperor Stefan Dušan are kept in this church.
