The Belgrade and Munich Periods

When she was 12, Milena left for the city of Linz in Austria to attend painting classes.
She enrolled in an art school in Belgrade in 1922 and graduated at the age of 17.
After that, she went on to pursue professional development at the Munich Academy.
She held her first independent exhibition in Belgrade in 1928, where she displayed works she had created during her education in Belgrade and Munich.
She worked and exhibited in Požarevac in 1929, then left her hometown to live in other cities all across Europe and the world.
Her first public exhibition outside of Serbia took place in London in 1931.
