  • Throughout the entire history of the Novi Sad Jews many important issues concerning the community have been settled here
  • As part of the project of building a new synagogue in 1908, a three floor building was constructed in the same style with rooms for the Jewish municipality and accommodation for officials, the rabbi and the cantor
  • The designer was the architect Liput Baumhorn and the building was in the secessionist style
  • Today only a part of the building is used by the Jewish municipality of Novi Sad whilst the rest is private flats
