  • The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Topčider is a temple of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Topčider Park. It was built between 1832 and 1834, at the request of Prince Miloš Obrenović, as a chapel next to his Residence.
  • The construction of the Church was entrusted to prominent builders of that time, Janja Mihajlović, Nikola Đorđević and Hadži Nikola Živković.
  • In the area around the Church, there used to be a large, dense forest. Belgrade was a small settlement with several hundred houses, and Topčider was an almost unknown hamlet. When Belgrade became the capital, Prince Miloš deliberately chose Topcider for the construction of his Residence and the Church, because it was outside the reach of city cannons at the time.
