- Currently, the Gallery of Naive Art has 26 active painters, mainly Slovaks from Kovačica and the neighboring Slovak village of Padina.

- Contemporary painters who passed away prematurely were: Jan Husarik, Vesna Hrćan, Rozalija Markov and Martin Markov.
