Milena was a multi–talented artist whose work intertwined art, poetry, verse, and music.
With her poems she established herself as an exceptional stylist who answered the literary-theoretical demands of modernist literature. In particular, her Italian poetry workshops and French poetry of symbolism and surrealism nurtured the poetics of modernist literature.
Milena accomplished her visions by becoming the first female Serbian poet to represent surrealism. Her symbolic verses expressed her unusual artistic and poetic style.
